Hello! I'm Malavika, a Psychotherapist with close to 6 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. As you go through the website, you'll find bits and pieces of information about me, my work, the approaches I adopt in therapy sessions, my qualifications - in tune with the themes I centre my practice around - pieces coming together to form a coherent larger picture!
In summary, my qualifications include a Masters in Psychology (Counselling) from Christ University Bangalore, and subsequent post-graduate degrees and certifications in trauma therapy, narrative therapy, couples and family therapy, attachment theory and relational work, and neurodivergent-affirmative therapy practices. As a client, you will be given the choice to pick and choose what approaches would work best for you, alongside a large helping of warmth, comfort, and a gentle but assertive push to re-evaluate behaviours and responses that are working against you instead of in your favour.
Outside of therapy, you will find me spending unhealthy amounts of time with our Chief Happiness Officer, reading books, pursuing my interest in photography, and creating memories!
